I’m Tahani Henion, Life Coach with Transformational Life Coaching, LLC.
While I am open to coaching anyone, my specialty is to help people in counseling turn their obstacles into opportunities.
If you are currently in counseling (or even if you're not . . .) and feel like you're "stuck" in your forward progress, life coaching may be what you need to help you regain your momentum. Life coaching can be the perfect complement to the work you’re currently doing with your therapist. I’m willing to work with you either alone or in harmony with other support systems available to you.
My job as a transformational life coach is to help you uncover your own inner wisdom. I help you learn how to ask yourself the best questions and find the best solutions to navigate life’s challenges. I work with you to create your own practical steps to build your future.
Traditional coaching focuses on setting goals for specific situations, creating action plans, and achieving practical results.
Transformational life coaching incorporates traditional coaching strategies as a tool in a process of re-thinking and rewriting your reality. In your sessions, we use the goals you set to create specific steps toward success while developing a deeper understanding of your overarching life goals and how to accomplish them. This can help you create fundamental changes in how you think about and approach the challenges you face, allowing you to create lasting, systemic change in your life.
Transformational life coaching can help you transform yourself into the best version of you, one in which you become more authentic, empowered, and aligned with who you truly want to be.
Life coaching and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) serve different purposes and use their own sets of "tools."
Life coaching is future-oriented and aims to help you achieve your personal and/or professional goals by setting actionable plans and fostering motivation and accountability. Sessions are free-flowing and may make unexpected shifts in direction. Coaches use techniques such as reflection, mirroring, open-ended questions, and strategic silence to help you understand yourself better and to create your own unique life plan. Life coaches do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
CBT is a structured form of therapy that focuses on changing negative thought patterns and behaviors to improve emotional well-being. It is designed to address and resolve psychological issues by altering thought patterns and behaviors. It is often effective in improving mental health conditions like depression and anxiety.
